Small park with the ruins of a two story house dating from the early days of the area's settlement by whites. Nice place to take kids to run around and a great view of the river valley. There is also a plaque explaining the history of the house.

I have always been interested in the history of my area, and this is a great example. I have been exploring the site for many years.

Its amazing! The history and the site makes you imagine what life was like then. One of the first houses made of stone. He also had a house in Henderson.

Cool for a casual trip in the river bottom

Its a nice historical monument decated to the Sioux Uprising. A nice place to take the family for a picnic and show them some history
